For centuries, dragonflies have symbolized new beginnings, living in the moment, adaptability, and finding inner peace. That's a lot for a tiny insect to balance on gossamer wings! I use them often in my jewelry designs, I like those positive vibes. This gorgeous hand painted Czech glass button embraces all of that with it's cool, ethereal color palette. The base is a beautiful rose violet and pale blue turquoise and the dragonfly is painted in antique gold. I've surrounded it with aqua-lined purple seed beads and tiny faceted blue crystals and finished the edge with soft gold seed beads. There's a hand-sewn flourish of Czech glass flowers, petals, and leaves that add some pretty embellishment. The brass chain has stations of faceted round and pale violet crystals. The twenty inch chain closes with a lobster claw clasp and has a 1 1/2" extender. The button pendant is about 1 3/4" wide. This would make a glorious gift for a gardener, or something lovely to remind you of warmer days and the beauty of real dragonflies.
