Frosted luster

in: Necklace

In Nepal, these pendants are called "locket beads".  The artisans who create them fashion a bead cap from thin sheets of sterling silver that surround a large mother of pearl bead.  The result is a lustrous, shimmering beauty of a pendant, suspended from an antique silver circlet hand wired with clear seed beads. I've paired it with moonstone beads in shades of creamy white to palest gray.  They're hand knotted on silver gray cord with silver seed beads for a lovely play of glimmer and shadow.  The pendant comes in at 2", and the necklace is 22"  It closes with a simple silver plated toggle.  Pair this with everything and anything...
