Wandering in Rincon

in: Necklace

These hues remind me of a trip we took to the city of Rincon, on the west side of Puerto Rico - the gorgeous water, and the tropical flowers.  .At the center is a pretty opal glass tear drop pendant, suspended in an antique brass connector wire wrapped with gleaming turquoise seed beads.  Along the length of the necklace are seed beads in cobalt, turquoise, purple lined teal, strawberry, and crystal.  Each is separated by a small brass seed bead, and there are eight frosted Czech glass rounds as well.  The necklace has been strung on supple bead wire, and the clasp is a brass plated toggle.  The chain portion measures about 24", and the pendant is 1/2" long and wide.  This is truly an artisan design that will easily become a favorite new piece to wear often.
