Timeworn Elegance

in: Necklace

This brass flower pendant arrives at my home as plain, unadorned raw brass.  After aging, painting, sealing and buffing , it's been transformed into what I'd call "rusty gold".  It has so much character and the hues blend together so well, as if it was always like this.  it's suspended from an antique copper connector, with a rusty picasso finish Czech glass bicone bead.  The hand knotted necklace is composed of impression jasper stones in the prettiest shade of Caribbean blue-green with cream matrix.  There are also crystals with flat facets on each side that are so unique, and add a bit of sparkle to the piece.  It closes with a copper plated flower toggle.  The pendant, including the connector, is about 3 1/2" long, and the necklace is just under 23".  As always with this kind of creation, it's one of a kind.
